Congratulations to Rudy’s 80th birthday!

Time is flying! The first time that I met Rudy was 1987 at Shandong Workshop. I was a Ph. D student at that time. I remembered that Rudy organized the workshop and invited a lot of big guys in the field to China. It turned out to be a great impact to the Chinese physicists who worked in multi-particle physics.

Under recommendation of Xin--Nian, I had the chance to work a year with Rudy at the University of Oregon. It was a very pleasant experience of my life. We had published two papers together. I had a chance to know more of his personalities, a very good driver, a very kind helper and a very honest professor, like his secretary, Mrs. Jan, once commented to me.

He helped us in organizing the 11th workshop of correlations and fluctuation at Hangzhou in 2006. I still remember his fancy summary talk, which shows his talent in presentation and deep understandings in the developments of multi-particle dynamics.

I am grateful for what he had done for us!
